Jilene Altur is not having a good time. First, her town is attacked by a vampire, people she knows and friends dying gruesomely with no one able to stop it. Then, her father and brother are killed by the same beast and she is mauled nearly to death. She thought that was the end of it, but after coming out of a dream and finding herself gorging on a raccoon’s blood, she’s coming to realize that things can indeed get so much worse for her.
